Please join the Meredith mailing list if you wish to receive updates and alerts regarding tickets. It is the best and most instantaneous method of being In The Know Regarding Meredith.
Note that TICKETS ARE LIMITED and
they ALWAYS SELL OUT.
Please get in early if you wish to avoid Meredith Tickets Sold Out Rage. It can strike even the hardiest Meredith veteran.
THERE ARE TWO TYPES OF TICKETS:
REGULAR WEEKEND TICKETS get you access from Saturday December 10th at 8am. The festival finishes on Sunday December 11th at 5pm, you must leave by then – THERE IS NO CAMPING SUNDAY NIGHT.
FRIDAY ENTRY TICKETS get you access one night earlier – on Friday December 9th, from about 2pm. Gates are open only from 2pm to midnight on Friday, and only for Friday Entry ticket-holders. YOU CANT JUST COME FOR THE FRIDAY – every single guest on site must have a REGULAR WEEKEND TICKET no matter what day they arrive.
Some other details regarding tickets:
- Children under 10 are free. There are no other concessions
or discounts.
- Lost tickets will not be replaced. We have no
way of proving that lost tickets are genuinely lost, so it’s a blanket ‘no’ on
that one. Sorry, but try to see it from our side. Heaps of people
try it on. Guard your ticket with your life, treat it like cash, it
cant
be replaced.
- There is NO CAMPING SUNDAY NIGHT. You must leave by 5pm
Sunday.
- You will need Photo ID to prove you are over 18
if you wish to enter a licensed area on site, or purchase alcohol
from any of the
bars.
Even if you are 55 and look 70, if you haven’t got ID, you wont
be served.
- There are NEVER tickets for sale at the gate
- There are NO concessions
for interstate drivers, that was a one-off, ludicrously over-subscribed
promotion in 2004.
- Your vehicle will be subject to a thorough search
this year, as we beef up the number of burly ex-wrestlers with bomber
jackets and moustaches
at Reception. Don’t think hiding under a blanket is going to
fool us.
- Arrive in convoy if you want to camp together. You wont be
able to drive around looking for your friends all night.
- Bush Camp
fills up first. It will be full on Friday Night. Once it’s
full, nobody else can go in there to camp. There will be no reserving
of campsites either this year. That’s going too far. Tell your
friends to get there with you otherwise they’ll have to camp
somewhere else.
- That’s about it for now. Got off the topic
a bit too.
